Homework 12th - 16th September 2016
- Maths - Two sided worksheet, reviewing what we have covered over the first two weeks of the school year. It's broken into four sections, one section for each day.
- English Spellings - Spelling this week focus on two sound patterns. The first sound pattern is the 'f' sound that is made by 'ph' (photograph) and 'gh' (rough). The second pattern is 'ai' sound.
- Irish Spellings - We're taking a different route with Irish spellings this week. We will be focus on the children's ability to write about themselves in Irish. Every week the children will have to learn how to write the answer to one or two questions. This weeks questions are 'Cad is ainm duit?' and 'Cen aois tu?' I will ask the children these two questions on Friday and they will need to write the answers. By the end of the term I hope that the children will be able to write a paragraph about themselves.
- Geography - Map of Dublin. Children need to locate certain areas, towns or places on Google Maps and marked them on their own blank map of Dublin. I've gone through this with the children. The link to a good website is on the sheet.
- Duolingo - Just like last year, I will set an XP challenge every week. This week's challenge is 50XP. I've reminded the children that they need to try different lessons and not repeat the same ones over and over. I also reminded them that if they have progressed to the point that it is too difficult that they should go back and repeat earlier lessons.
